Who is

Maxime Old (1910-1991)

Born in 1910, Maxime Old was a French interior designer. He is considered as one of the forerunners of modern design for his requirement, his know-how and his vision. After graduating from the Ecole Boulle, he studied with Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann where he learned rigor, creative audacity and the art of drawing. After having been awarded several times for his innovations at the Salon des Artistes et Décorateurs, Maxime Old opened a gallery in Paris to exhibit his works and launch emerging talents.
