Who is

Verner Panton (1926-1998)

Born in 1926, the designer Verner Panton was one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. He joined an engineering school and then studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In the 1950s, he collaborated with architect and designer Arne Jacobsen and founded his own studio in 1955. Verner Panton focuses its production on chairs and armchairs. In the early 1960s he developed the Panton chair. Characterized by the use of plastic, generous shapes and a very bright palette of colors, his innovative work will be a great success, and pioneer Verner Panton will mark his time.
