Who is

Niels Vodder (1912-1989)

Born in Denmark in 1912, Niels Vodder is a Danish cabinetmaker. After training as a cabinetmaker, he develops new methods to bend and assemble pieces of wood. Renowned as the pioneering craftsman of Finn Juhl, he took care of materializing the innovative designs of the designer in a stylish way and keeping a modest structure. Together they worked in the 1950s on a furniture project for the United Nations headquarters in New York and won 14 awards at the Cabinetmakers Guild of Copenhagen.
