Who is

Poul Kjærholm (1929-1980)

Poul Kjærholm is a Danish designer born in 1929. He studied and taught at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. Fervent follower of the industrial production, the furniture he created is defined by a simple aesthetic. He used steel structures, associated with natural materials such as wood, rattan, leather, and adopted clean lines to highlight the beauty of the materials used. Throughout his career, he has been awarded with numerous prizes for his iconic creations.
