Born in Milan in 1921, Angelo Mangiarotti is an Italian architect and industrial designer who graduated from the Polytechnic School of Milan. Very influential in the twentieth century in Europe, the United States and Japan, his vision of these disciplines was primarily to be functional, sober and practical. His brilliance and his creations turned him into a symbolic figure of Italian design. He has also taught these disciplines in many Italian universities. His sensitivity to the needs of consumers has earned him many awards.
