Who is

Pierre Giraudon (1923-)

Born in 1923 in Paris, Pierre Giraudon studied botanists. In 1949, he moved to Canada where he worked at the Montreal Institute of Biology. During this period, the artist studies the process of integration of plants and animals in transparent resin blocks. He works this process upon his return to France, diverting it from its original nature and adding elements. He transforms the resin into a work of art and imagines unique pieces as for the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and for famous artists such as Dali or Arman. Pierre Giraudon said, without hesitation, that he was a biologist and not an artist.
